but probably not... I tend to lose interest fast when I am busy. So...what has happened since the last time I really posted... well... I moved up to Duncan, had a great time living with my roommate Heather, had a totally fun summer doing all sorts of things like dancing, lots of tubing on the river, went for a backpacking trip, and met a super fantastic guy near the end of summer.
End of summer rolled around and I moved again, still living in Duncan, I now have 5 fish tanks to add to my animal family, and am moving AGAIN at the beginning of the year to Shawnigan Lake/Cobble Hill. One of my clients has been trying to get me to move into her place for a while but whenever it's available I'm not looking and whenever I'm looking it's not available.. however this time the timing was perfect so Jarrett, who happens to live over on the mainland right now, is moving over here and we are going to live at this place which is totally awesome, 3 bedroom mobile on an acreage and I can keep Reannon there! I didn't sell Soleil, was going to end up keeping her but the expenses are just too much, so she is going to be on the market again. Might have to wait until spring to get her started first.. we shall see.. the market is crappy as many I'm sure already know.
So, that right there is pretty much my last year in a nutshell I believe
I've been using facebook as my journal of sorts.... but just checking to see how many people still use this thing?
well, where do I start? I got a truck, nice little Chevy S10 ( need a canopy, know of any for cheap?), I am moving out this weekend (yay), I desperately need to sell Soleil, and I shaved my head! I think that's it? Oh yeah, my birthday is next week too! Tue, Jan. 29th, 2008, 03:06 pm moooooving
I'm heading back up to Duncan..me and the animals will be heading up to a nice place up there to roomie with a hoof trimming client of mine who was looking for a room mate on her 5 acre farm. I know Reannon will love it, and so will the cats, it s MUCH bigger place with Stairs LOL.. Jacob will LOVE the stairs. Dacey is easy, she doesn't care where she is as long as i'm there LOL. So.. now I'm trying to pack, and clean up as much as I can while we are still trying to live here until Matt finds a place and someone else can move in here. We had to give a months notice to be out by March 1st but of course the sooner the better, I'm hoping we might be able to move out by the 15th.
Audrey had to be put down, she was in obvious pain when eating so I know she must have had ulcers. It's hard not to miss such a wierd little dog, she was such a sweetie, but I'm glad she is now pain free, and I don't have to worry about her and how she is feeling.
I could be posting so much lately but I keep forgetting. I've been having incredibly cool/bizarre dreams lately, that I SHOULD be writing about just for the heck of it...I think the fact that Matt has been watching a million episodes of Justice League has been really influencing things in my dreams, like the ability to fly, lots of fighting and people trying to kill me, getting transported through time, people changing shapes/forms etc. All very interesting LOL. Last night I had a dream that someone set my car on fire and the only thing that survived the fire was my bumper. Next thing I remember is some super cool store with the coolest art ever in it, and some guy trying to kill me... he got killed but wasn't actually dead, was just transported to some other time/planet/dimension I dunno.. ( can thank last nights episode of justice league for that one) and he was a tyrannosaurus rex, I eventually got sent there too and he was trying to eat me?
Anyhoo...
In other news, I have had Soleil for sale since last fall, with very little interest ( market is low, people not too keen on buying in winter).. I was getting ready to just give up and sell her to someone who has been interested for a while for a much lower price just to get her gone since I am broke and really can't afford two, nor have the time... so.. just as I'm setting up the arrangements for this.. I get a young girl in Courtenay who is interested....willing to pay my asking price... wants to come see her... so we were making arrangements for her to come down today... when what happens, but ANOTHER lady emails me yesterday, heard she was for sale and wants her. She is in Alberta so she can't come see her, but is willing to put a payment on her to hold her, she just needed more info on transport etc. Girl from up island can't come out today, but because of the new prospective buyer is also now trying to get a payment in to hold her... so I'm sitting here, anxiously awaiting some news that my little filly is sold! It won't be the same here without her, but man will alot of financial stress be lifted. Not to mention I can start to spend way more time with Reannon again and get her going with our new tack ( finally got a saddle/bit etc that she likes).
Ah yes.. another thing I could mention... I'm not sure if I posted about it before, but I had given Audrey to a couple I knew to hopefully be a good home for her since she is such high maintenance and not really happy here... of course.. the couple broke up, the guy takes her and does a shit job looking after her.. calls me up cause he can't keep her anymore and I get a dog back that is in pretty nasty shape. Her allergies were horrible, she had hives everywhere, and scabs all over from scratching and chewing every inch of her body.Skinny, Hair missing, ears were full to the brink of black goop, nails were curling under...... and on top of all that she now has quite a few tumors which the vet thinks are Mast Cell Tumors.
So, basically I just got her diet back in order so she wasn't trying to rip her skin off, got her ears nice and healthy, nails are back to normal length, hair is all back, she has gained 2lbs, and is happily sleeping 23 hours a day in a nice big dog bed full of blankets.
One problem though is that she was peeing quite a bit in her sleep. I thought it was old age, but it was getting worse so I took her to the vet the other day and turns out there was blood in the urine. Dacey also had some ( took her in too because she was showing signs of bladder infection) so they are both on antibiotics. Unfortunately Audrey isn't doing too well the last few days. SHe hasn't been drinking much at all, and this AM she threw up and didn't want to finish her breaky. I'm not sure if it's a reaction to the antibiotics, or her mast cell tumors are starting to cause ulcers. Of course I'll be keeping a close eye on her and giving the vet a call. She is 11 this year, Mini bulls aren't a long living breed, and with the presence of Mast Cell Tumors, they often don't have long to live before the effect them internally. I am hoping that her going down hill is a result of the antibiotics, but I'm not going to be surprised if it isn't.
All you animals lovers/owners out there, give your pets a big hug and hope Audrey isn't suffering ( she is so stoic, it's impossible to tell).
I go on usedvictoria all the time to check out classifieds and am constantly surprised at how many people can't spell "bred"...as in purebred or my horse was bred... they all spell it Bread! WTF!? A Purebread dog??? I want to get my dog bread?? oh yeah and people also can't spell Bachelor suite... I understand the english language can be a bit odd, but most computers have a spell check... and I'm really not interested in renting a Bechler suit. Mon, Oct. 8th, 2007, 07:29 pm KD never again

WHY? How is it even remotely comfortable? I can see in lounge or yoga/workout pants... the seams are minimal and they are meant to hug the body..but jeans??? At least the chic I saw today was fairly good looking... but it's no excuse! If you look in the mirror and can read your own lips... change your pants!
And apparently I'm not too bad at it! Pays to be a tomboy I guess, I don't mind crawling around in the dirt and getting bruised and scraped. That had to have been the most fun I've had in a long time, gotta do that again for SURE. SOme people don't play fair which ruins some of the fun, but all in all, it's a great way to spend a day with friends. I unfortunately don't think I ever got the chance to shoot Jeff which I was looking forward to, but maybe next time.
Also, went to my first ever Mariners game yesterday! Awesome game, Mariners rock, Ichiro is the man, Putz domination time! Unfortunately I had the mother of all stomach aches so couldn't enjoy it to the fullest, but it was still fun to see a game in the flesh, we had AWESOME seats ( 28 rows directly behind home plate) and of course they played a great game so it couldn't have been any better.
This is like the first vacation Matt has had in a while that he has actually spent some time with ME and not just family trips.. was so nice to have some fun and so some different things instead of the same old daily stuff.
Yay for fun summers! |
